This tour will take you to explore the best of Cusco in 6 days full of history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes. You’ll start with a City Tour in the city of Cusco, visiting Qoricancha, Sacsayhuamán, and more.

On the second day, you’ll head to the Southern Valley of Cusco, discovering the archaeological sites of Tipón and Piquillacta. On the third day, you can choose between the Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) or Humantay Lake. The fourth day will take you to the Sacred Valley, visiting iconic places like Ollantaytambo and Maras. The fifth day is dedicated to visiting the world wonder, Machu Picchu. Finally, on the sixth day, you’ll conclude the tour with a transfer to the airport for your return flight.

  • Day 1: City Tour

  • Pick-up and Transfer to the Hotel

    You will be picked up at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Cusco. The tour begins between 12:45 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Accommodation: Overnight stay at a hotel in Cusco.

  • Cusco Cathedral

    We begin with a visit to the impressive Cathedral of Cusco, the most important church in the city. During the journey, participants will have the option to take the local train instead of walking.

  • Sacsayhuamán Archaeological Park – 3:00 p.m.

    Transfer by tourist bus to the Sacsayhuamán Archaeological Park, famous for its gigantic megalithic stones weighing over 100 tons.

  • Qenqo Funerary Chamber – 4:30 p.m.

    The underground chamber carved into rock, used by the Incas for rituals, sacrifices, and possibly mummifications, linked to the worship of the dead and the underworld.

  • Pucapucara Archaeological Park – 5:00 p.m.

    A place that functioned as a military post, road control point, and resting area for travelers, featuring stone walls and strategic views.

  • Temple of Water – Tambomachay – 5:15 p.m.

    A site used for water rituals, featuring canals and fountains that showcase advanced hydraulic engineering and the Andean culture’s deep reverence for water.

  • Day 2: South Valley Tour of Cusco

  • Departure: 08:20 a.m.

    Departure to begin the excursion to the South Valley of Cusco, starting with a visit to the archaeological site of Tipón, famous for its impressive agricultural terraces and irrigation canal systems. During the journey, participants will have the option to take the local train instead of walking.

  • Piquillacta

    Then, we will continue to Piquillacta, an ancient administrative center of the Wari culture, known for its adobe structures.

  • Iglesia de San Pedro de Andahuaylillas

    The excursion will conclude with a visit to the Church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas, a jewel of Baroque art in the region.

  • Pucapucara Archaeological Park – 5:00 p.m.

    A place that served as a military post, road checkpoint, and rest stop for travelers, featuring stone walls and strategic views.

  • Lunch

    Optional lunch at a local restaurant, offering a delicious selection of traditional dishes. 2:00 p.m. – End of the visit and return to the hotel in Cusco to conclude the tour.

  • Day 3: Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca or Humantay Lagoon (according to your choice)

    Visit to the textile center where women preserve Inca traditions using alpaca wool, and to the archaeological complex. During the journey, participants will have the option to take the local train instead of walking.

  • Moray

    Tour of the famous Inca agricultural terraces, used for crop experimentation. During the journey, participants will have the option to take the local train instead of walking.

  • Salineras de Maras

    Explore the most important salt mine in Cusco, offering an impressive view. During the journey, participants will have the option to take the local train instead of walking.

  • Urubamba

    Buffet lunch (approximately 50 minutes).

  • Ollantaytambo Archaeological Park – 3:00 p.m.

    Visit to the Ollantaytambo Archaeological Park, including the Inca fortress and the temples dedicated to water and the sun, filled with Andean mysticism.

  • Overnight stay at a hotel in Ollantaytambo

    To rest and enjoy the tranquility of this picturesque Inca town. This day will be full of history, culture, and stunning landscapes of the Sacred Valley.

  • Day 5: Machu Picchu

  • Departure toward Aguas Calientes

    7:30 a.m. – Departure on the regular tourist train to Aguas Calientes. There is also a promotional train option for Peruvians at 4:30 a.m.

  • Train station

    The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the train station. The trip will take approximately 2 hours to reach Aguas Calientes.

  • Aguas Calientes

    Upon arrival, the agency staff will be waiting for you with a sign to take you to the bus station. From there, you will take the bus to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary (approximately a 30-minute bus ride).

  • 3-hour guided tour of Machu Picchu

    You will explore the Inca citadel with your guide, visiting the main highlights such as the Inca workshops, the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Moon, the Temple of the Condor, among others.

  • Free time

    After the guided tour, you will have time to explore Machu Picchu on your own and enjoy the scenery and history of the site.

  • Lunch

    You will have time to choose a restaurant in Aguas Calientes to enjoy lunch or, if you prefer, you can visit the local hot springs.

  • Return

    At 9:50 p.m., you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo Station. Once in Ollantaytambo, the agency’s transport will take you back to Cusco.

  • Arrival in Cusco

    9:30 p.m. (if you take the regular or Vistadome train) or 2:00 a.m. (if you take the promotional train for Peruvians). Keep in mind that the train service varies depending on the fare and type of train chosen.

  • Day 6: Farewell / Transfer to the airport

  • The tour concludes

    After the incredible experience of the previous days, we provide your transfer to the airport for your return flight.
